Bruce has extensive experience in all aspects of civil and criminal litigation. Bruce specializes in First Amendment and media law, white collar criminal defense, and employment law, but his practice includes all areas of complex commercial litigation, including environmental insurance coverage and commercial fraud, class action defense and corporate internal investigations and compliance programs. The 2006-2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America lists Bruce among the nation's best lawyers in the First Amendment law category. He also is listed as a "Super Lawyer" by Lawandpolitics.com and New Jersey Monthly.

Upon receiving a B.S. degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1975, Bruce embarked on a successful 15-year career as an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor of legal publications. He entered full-time practice in 1990.

In addition to his practice, Bruce is an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School, Newark.

Bruce is a member of the Editorial Board of the New Jersey Law Journal and Chair of the Media Law Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Bruce has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
