Patti joined MARC as a partner in 2007 after a stellar career with the Attorney Generals' office in New Jersey and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in New York. Immediately prior to joining the firm, she served as Executive Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where she oversaw complex litigation and trials within the Division of Criminal Justice and developed and ran the state's convicted offender DNA program. She will be part of MARC 's white collar defense team. In addition, she will litigate complex business matters.
Patti received a B.S. in biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from the State University of New York at Albany in 1985 and her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1988, where she won the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Justice.
Her abilities have also been recognized both nationally and locally. Patti has been honored with the Innovation in Government Award 2005 by the National Council of State Governments, and the Professional Achievement Award in 2004 from both the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety and from the State of New Jersey.
In 2007, Patti was the lead prosecutor in State of New Jersey v. McGuire, a case that garnered national medial attention and was covered live by Court TV. That case highlighted the benefits of detailed investigation coupled with advanced forensics.
